Sounds familiar? No?… If you heard this place, then probably you’ve heard it from a rider or saw it from a car/motorcycle sticker.
Just this weekend, after all this time, i have finally crossed Jariel’s Peak out on my riders bucket list. It was my first time to visit the place and probably my last as I am migrating soon to mindanao be to be with my wife and kids.
The place itself by the way it looks is not that special. Its like an ordinary eatery that you normally see along the road the only difference is its on top of the mountain and the overlooking view. I don't think what made this place popular is the food either, I rode solo and when i got there, i have ordered their pancit canton which took them almost an hour to serve. nothing special i tasted better canton in Pasig and are way way cheaper. I'm not sure about the other food they offer but I wouldn't recommend their pancit canton.
As I sat alone, I slowly realized what makes this place special, aside from the interesting road to get here perhaps it is the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie among I riders this place brings. I have noticed many of them came here by group and heard them merrily sharing stories about their rides, their business, families and all sort of stuff, some are couples who wanted to explore and try out the food. I guess all of that is what makes this place really special. It is a special bonding place for riders from different walks of life who just wanna hang out and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the metro.
